Ideas you can actually make yours

Every idea on these pages is a real design made with our AI tattoo generator, with a short note on what it means and where it looks good.

Press «Try it on» on any of them: the generator opens with the idea and the style filled in, makes your own version and shows it on skin, on a sample arm or on a photo of yours.

More ideas by style

Three designs in three styles, for when you know the look you want before the subject.

Fine line tattoo design of a crescent moon with a small wildflower sprig

Crescent moon

The moon for change and new beginnings, softened with a sprig of wildflowers. Thin lines suit the wrist, the ankle or behind the ear.

Geometric tattoo design of a wolf head built from clean straight lines

Geometric wolf

A wolf for loyalty and instinct, drawn with straight lines and clean angles. It needs some room: the forearm, the calf or the shoulder.

Blackwork tattoo design of a snake coiled around a dagger

Snake and dagger

A classic of traditional tattooing: the snake for change, the dagger for courage. Bold blackwork reads well on the forearm or the calf.

Frequently asked questions

I have never been tattooed. Which style is easiest to live with?
Bold, simple linework. It heals predictably, reads clearly from a distance and holds its shape for decades. Fine detail and heavy colour are beautiful but they ask more of your artist, your skin and your aftercare — most people are happier making that their second tattoo, not their first.
How do I tell whether a design will still look good in ten years?
Squint at it. If the shape still reads when the detail blurs, it will age well; if it turns into a grey smudge, it will not. Ink spreads slightly under the skin over the years, so thin lines placed close together eventually merge. Space is what keeps a tattoo legible.
Can I try a tattoo idea on before getting it?
Yes. Every idea on these pages opens in the AI tattoo generator, which shows your design on skin straight away: on a sample arm, or on a photo of the spot you have in mind. Move it, resize it and rotate it before you book.
Are these designs free to use?
Yes. The designs you make in the tattoo generator are yours to take to a tattoo studio, and CreArt's terms of use let you use what you generate. A good tattoo artist will usually redraw them to fit your skin and the spot you choose.
