Make a PFPNow that you know what it means — make a good one.The short answer
PFP stands for profile picture: the small image next to your name in a social app, a game or a chat. When someone writes “nice pfp”, they mean “nice profile picture”. It can be a photo of you, a drawing, a pet or anything else you choose to show.
Where the word comes from
Pfp is internet slang. Wiktionary lists it as an abbreviation of profile picture used online and in text messages, and gives PFP, in capitals, as another way to write it (read on 14 October 2026).

What makes a good pfp
A pfp is shown small and is often cropped to a circle. Keep it square, with your face filling most of the frame. Use a simple background that stands out from your hair and clothes, and check it at thumbnail size before you upload it.
Every app shows it at its own size: the profile picture size guide has them all.
