Free, Pro, and Ultra: what actually counts as a generation

It is the question we get the most in support, so we are answering it here once and for all.
What counts as a generation
Every time you press "Generate" and the system delivers an image or video, it counts as one unit — regardless of whether you download it afterward. Regenerating the same prompt counts as a new generation. This applies to every tool, from the image generator to the video generator.
What if I switch plans mid-month?
The new limit applies immediately once payment is confirmed; the previous month is not prorated and generations already used on the old plan are not lost.
"The counter resets every day at 00:00 in your timezone, not every 24 hours from your last generation."
Ultra plan: no daily limit
Ultra removes the daily safety limit that applies to Free and Pro. A reasonable-use technical limit still exists to prevent automated abuse, but you will not notice it in normal use.
