The right size, explained

The most common poster sizes are 18×24 inches (small), 24×36 inches (standard large, the classic "movie poster" retail size) in the US, and A3 (297×420mm) to A0 internationally. For print, design at 300 DPI — a 24×36 poster is 7200×10800 pixels.

For digital display (events pages, social) you can work much smaller, but for anything printed, resolution decides whether it looks professional or fuzzy at arm's length.

Generate a poster with AI, then upscale to print resolution — the upscaler gets a web-size design to print-ready without redrawing.
