Which mug
Coffee mug, two-tone, enamel, travel or latte
The classic 11 oz coffee mug is the one most shops sell; the 15 oz is the same shape, taller. A two-tone mug is white outside with the inside and the handle in color: pick the color and only those parts change. An enamel camping mug has a metal rim and a rustic look.
A travel mug is stainless steel with a lid, for coffee on the go, and a latte mug is tall with a wide top. All come in the same 8 colors; white is the default, because it shows any design as it is.
One side or wrap-around
A print on one side or all the way around
One side puts your design once, centered on the side that faces the camera: the usual way for a logo or a short quote. Wrap-around runs the design all the way around the mug, the way a wide, panoramic design is printed.
A photo shows one side of a mug, so with a wrap-around print you see the front part of the design and the rest goes around the back. Want to show both sides? Pick Two mugs, or make a second mockup.

Which design file works best
A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest print. A design on a plain white or single-color background works too: the tool removes that background before printing, so you do not get a white box on a black mug. White parts inside the design are kept.
The design follows the curve of the mug, so the edges of a wide design turn away from the camera; keep the important part in the middle. Very tiny text can blur. If your file is small or soft, run it through the image upscaler first. No logo yet? Make one with the AI logo generator.
